Karachi is expected to experience dry weather with a chilly night over the next 24 hours, with temperatures possibly dropping to 11°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday.
The PMD reported that the lowest temperature recorded the previous day was 12.4°C. Northeastern winds are currently blowing at 10 km/h and will continue intermittently, while the humidity level in the air stands at 28%.
In contrast, Quetta and surrounding areas are enduring overcast skies and extremely cold, dry weather. The northeastern regions of Balochistan are also facing severe cold, with water on roads, streets, and drains freezing, further complicating life for locals.
The Met Department predicts that the cold and dry conditions will persist across most districts in Balochistan, with mountainous regions expected to remain especially frigid. No immediate relief is expected. Additionally, residents of Quetta, Kalat, and Ziarat are dealing with low gas pressure, adding to the hardships in the freezing weather.
