
The Sindh government has announced an extension of operating hours for the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi during the holy month of Ramazan to better accommodate commuters.
Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Memon, stated that from the 15th of Ramazan onward, the bus service will continue running until 1 a.m. This move aims to facilitate citizens, particularly those engaged in late-night shopping, prayers, and other activities during the blessed month.
Memon further elaborated that the extended service hours will be implemented on multiple routes, including R1, R2, R3, R4, R9, R10, and EV1. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring safe and accessible public transport for Karachi’s residents, especially during Ramazan, when increased mobility is required for religious and social gatherings.
He assured that authorities will closely monitor the implementation of these extended hours to maintain smooth operations and provide uninterrupted service to the public.
