A flight operated by a foreign airline, traveling from Sharjah to Dhaka, was compelled to make an emergency landing at Karachi airport after a 42-year-old passenger aboard passed away. According to information provided by airport sources, the passenger’s health rapidly deteriorated during the flight.
Realizing the urgency of the medical situation, the flight’s pilot promptly contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) in Karachi to request permission for an emergency landing. The request was quickly approved, allowing flight G-9512 to make a safe landing at Karachi airport, as confirmed by a spokesman from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Upon arrival, a medical team from the CAA boarded the aircraft to evaluate the passenger’s condition. Despite their best efforts, the medical team unfortunately confirmed that the passenger had already died by the time they arrived.
Following the standard procedures, the CAA transferred the deceased passenger’s body to the airline. The flight, which had initially been en route from Sharjah to Dhaka, remained on the ground at Karachi airport for approximately two hours. After the necessary arrangements were completed, the aircraft resumed its journey to Dhaka.
