Lahore may soon welcome its first floating restaurant, with rumors circulating about a new project along the Lahore Canal near Harbanspura.
Sources indicate that the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has earmarked Rs. 350 million for the initiative, which could include a floating dining boat and additional recreational facilities.
If realized, the project may feature cafes, seating areas, and dedicated play zones for children, turning the canal into a vibrant leisure destination for families and tourists. The PHA is also considering revitalizing a nearby underutilized picnic area, further enhancing the canal’s appeal.
While details remain uncertain, locals are excited about the idea of a floating restaurant, hoping it will provide a unique dining experience with scenic canal views. If the plans move forward, this development could greatly enhance Lahore’s leisure and dining offerings.
