President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called on the international community to take concrete steps to end severe human rights violations in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In separate messages marking International Human Rights Day, they condemned Israel’s ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian areas, along with the atrocities committed by Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees fundamental rights for all citizens and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to advancing human rights for empowerment. He expressed confidence that democracy, peace, and human rights are essential for a stable and prosperous nation.
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted that Islam promotes human values and noted that Pakistan’s government has introduced various legislative measures to uphold human rights.
