Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated on Friday that certain forces are inciting the nation’s youth toward extremism.
Speaking at the launch of the Sindh Pink Football Championship, the former foreign minister interacted with the public, creating memorable moments and taking selfies with citizens.
Taking a swipe at his opponents, Bilawal remarked, “Extremist mindsets exist both within our country and in neighboring nations.”
Highlighting the potential of young talent, he expressed optimism that women from Lyari and Ghotki would soon represent their regions on international platforms. Noting that 70% of Pakistan’s population comprises youth, he emphasized the critical role they play in the country’s future.
Bilawal also reflected on former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s vision for women’s empowerment, stating, “Benazir Bhutto believed that women can achieve anything they set their minds to.” He further quoted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, reiterating the importance of women in national progress.
Acknowledging the sacrifices of Lyari’s residents, he praised their unparalleled dedication and credited President Asif Ali Zardari for his efforts to uplift the area.
The PPP chairman reaffirmed his commitment to working collectively for the prosperity and empowerment of the country’s youth.
