Pakistan will host the women’s cricket teams from New Zealand, Zimbabwe, and England for the first time in 2026 and 2027, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). These tours are part of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Future Tours Programme for 2025-29. The Zimbabwean women’s team will visit Pakistan in April-May 2026, followed by New Zealand in April 2027. The English women’s team is scheduled to tour in October 2027, and Bangladesh will be the fourth team visiting in October 2028. The PCB announced that these events are significant as they mark the inaugural tours of these teams to Pakistan.
The ICC Women’s Championship will include 11 participating countries from 2026-29, with teams competing for direct qualification to the ICC Women’s 50-over World Cup in 2029. Each team will face eight others in a series of home and away matches, totaling 132 ODIs across 44 series. The PCB also highlighted that the Future Tours Programme will feature an annual ICC Women’s tournament, starting with the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India in 2025 and including several major events through 2028. Additionally, Pakistan will undertake away tours to South Africa, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Ireland during this cycle.
