Pakistani cinema enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as a new Punjabi action film, Seylum, is in the pipeline, featuring Amna Ilyas and Muneeb Butt as the lead actors.
Sources have revealed that the movie, produced by Awais Raoof under Jehan Films—the same studio behind Shaan Shahid’s Zarrar—is set to start filming next week. The project is both written and directed by Abu Aleeha.
Marking the first Punjabi film for both Butt and Ilyas, Seylum will be filmed in locations including Lahore, Kallar Kahar, Nathiagali, Cholistan, and Bahawalpur.
According to well-placed sources, the team behind Seylum is targeting an Eidul Fitr release next year. The movie is anticipated to be the second most expensive Punjabi film following the 2022 hit The Legend of Maula Jatt.
The full cast will be unveiled next week.
