
The KPT 7th National Men’s Softball Championship, organized by the Softball Federation of Pakistan, is set to take place from October 23rd to 25th at the KPT Football Stadium in Karachi. The event will be hosted by the Sindh Softball Association.
Dr. Farhan Essa will lead the Organizing Committee, with Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant as Secretary and Muhammad Nasir as Event Director. Competing teams include participants from the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Wapda, Pakistan Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and the host province, Sindh.
Karachi Port Trust is the title sponsor, working alongside the Sports Department of the Government of Sindh, Dr. Essa Lab, and Combaxx Sports. A managers’ meeting for the teams will be held on October 22nd.
During a meeting to finalize arrangements, Ronak Lakhani, Patron of the Softball Federation, highlighted that the Men’s National Championship will greatly aid in promoting and developing softball in Pakistan. Such events provide essential opportunities for young athletes to display their skills on a national level.
Lakhani stressed that a competitive atmosphere will enhance mutual respect and camaraderie among players, contributing to national unity. He welcomed support for softball from both governmental and private sectors.
Asif Azeem, President of the Federation, noted that the championship is an outstanding opportunity for players to excel and potentially secure spots on the national team. The Federation is grateful for the support from KPT, the Sindh Sports Department, and other collaborating organizations.
